BBS Update: The Board of Behavioral Sciences has updated its Continuing Education and Additional Coursework Regulations, approved to take effect July 1, 2023. The BBS will provide an FAQ regarding these changes in the coming months - in the meantime, you can visithttps://bbs.ca.gov/pdf/regulation/2021/cont_ed_adtext.pdf to view the revisions.

Legislative Alert: Bill SB 966 (Limon) which permanently allows associate clinicians (AMFTs and ASWs) to work in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) has passed the legislature and is on its way to the Governor.

Good news! The House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee sent to the full House the bill that would create Medicare reimbursement rights for MFTs! CAMFT is hoping the House will take this up in November. We will keep you posted!
