SFV-CAMFT Policy on Accommodations for Disabilities

Venues will be screened for handicap accessibility prior to event scheduling. Venues will be selected that can accommodate those in wheelchairs. 

If the facility is not accessible, participants will be informed within the promotional materials that the training is held at a facility that is not handicap accessible. To be certain that participants know, they will be informed in the confirmation email that the facility is not handicap accessible. If this is the reason that someone is unable to attend an event, the cancellation fee will be waived. 

Participants are informed to request accommodations through both the promotional material, and the confirmation email they receive upon registration. 

The San Fernando Valley Chapter of CAMFT ensures that attendees with special needs receive reasonable accommodations when a request for a reasonable accommodation has been made.
