"Sex Therapy Do's and Don'ts: Musings of a Sex Therapist"

Dr. Stephanie will discuss her experience as a sex expert along with a few of her many successful cases. Through these client stories she will teach the distinctiveness of everyone's sexuality as well as the healing aspects that acceptance and permission can provide for the client. Dr. Stephanie will explain the importance of an inherently sex-positive attitude and will provide a broad perspective by taking factors such as biological, psychological, sociological, anthropological and historical into consideration when addressing sexual issues. She will also discuss the dos and don'ts to open relationships, fetishes, and kink.

This course is intended for beginning to advanced therapists.

Learning Objectives
In successfully completing and attending this presentation, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify and define 2 factors: the limitlessness of sexual behavior and the value of permission.
  2. Provide 3 do's and don'ts to kink sexual behavior.
  3. Describe a non-judgmental environment, one without any preconceptions of what a client's sexuality "should" look like.
