Annual Pre-Licensed Event - Career paths as an Associate MFT

Our Annual Pre-Licensed Event is set to give you all the information needed for your pre-licensed journey! While our Pre-licensed "3000 Club" Special Interest Group (SIG) gatherings are casual get togethers to support each other individually, our annual event gives you specific tools and stories and services to guide you into licensure and your dream practice.

This years event will be in-person.

We are holding our first In-person, Pre-licensed event, for over the past two years.  

The event will include:

  - A light lunch (Provided by Insight Treatment Center)

  - Opportunity drawing

  - Headshots will be taken for the first 30 SFV-CAMFT members to 

    attend the event.

Career Paths as an Associate MFT w/ Pepperdine University Professor - Jasmeet Bhullar, LMFT

In this workshop you will learn the different career paths open to associates.

• As an AMFT in Private practice
• As an AMFT in Non -Profit
• As an AMFT in Treatment Center
• Other career paths outside of therapy 

In addition, we will discuss advocacy, leadership, and assertiveness

in the workplace as a Trainee and AMFT and how to incorporate self-care and prevent burnout in your everyday life. We will also address

imposter syndrome and how to build a support system in the field.

Licensed members can register for this event too.  Please also pass this on to your associates or any pre-licensed individual in your community - open to all!

• Jasmeet Bhullar, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, CEO of Align Online Therapy, Vice President of Expert Resource, an Adjunct Faculty member at Pepperdine University and Co-Author. His experience includes providing therapy to individuals from diverse backgrounds in various settings such as private practice, inpatient services, and community mental health. Jasmeet has also served as President of the Pepperdine University Alumni Leadership Council and Member of the AAMFT-CA Legislative and Advocacy Committee, and other leadership positions. 

  
  

  Jasmeet is committed to providing therapy to adults in their 20’s and 30’s in California experiencing a range of issues/stressors. Jasmeet is committed to helping AMFTs and LMFTs find career opportunities in teaching, professional writing, and therapy in various work settings.
