Tracy Taris, LMFT

"Working with Creative Populations"

Note:  Presented in-Person and on Zoom (Webinar)

In this workshop, Mrs. Taris will articulate the stages of healing and how to apply them when working with people in general as well as working with people in various creative fields in particular.  Mrs. Taris will also cover some of the underlying reasons creatives may present for therapy, as it relates to your field specialty, and what clinicians can do to help guide them toward their goals without compromising their health, relationships, and well-being.  Mrs. Taris will help clinicians discover how to help their clients identify areas where their stages of development may have been interrupted and how to bring healing to those areas.

Learning Objectives

In successfully completing and attending this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the seven stages of healing and their impact on client progress.
  2. Demonstrate the primary role of psychoeducation in the healing process to the client.
  3. Identify the three ways for helping clients discover their levels of stress.
  4. Learn to utilize 3 tools to help decrease client stress and use stages of development in the healing process.
